What to expect
First time clients seeking acupuncture care will see Jessica for 90 minutes. This gives you ample time to discuss the particularities of your body. Jessica will assess any relevant information about your aches and pains, past or current injuries, daily habits and health cycles, and any other relevant information. This detailed health history combined with a physical exam and a discussion of your goals and concerns will lead to a unique treatment plan. (Don’t be afraid of sharing–sometimes we don't notice some information is relevant until we talk about it!) Other related therapies may be included in your treatment plan, such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and herbal remedies.
Follow-up appointments will be 1 hour long, and will continue at an individualized frequency until the issue calms down. Keep close track of your changes and progress.

Who is Acupuncture for?
Acupuncture can help a wide variety of health complaints including pain relief, soothing arthritis symptoms, reducing frequency of headaches and migraines, addressing hormonal imbalances, menstrual or menopausal complications, low stamina, sleep issues, digestive complications, anxiety, depression, nerve issues, insomnia, allergies, and much more. With precise actions, it promotes natural healing and can enhance recuperative power, immunity, support physiological and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being. It is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a plethora of medical problems.
How to prepare for your Acupuncture appointment
For the best treatment results, keep a few things in mind. You should do your best to: show up on time, avoid eating a large meal before your visit, wear loose, comfortable clothing, discuss any questions or concerns each visit, and refrain from overexertion, drugs, or alcohol for at least six hours after treatment. Follow your treatment plan between visits and keep all of your appointments (each visit builds upon the previous ones). Your actions are a key component of your treatment plan. Focusing on your health and committing to a healthy lifestyle are the best steps you can take for your well-being. Together, we can heal your ailments and help you achieve harmony and balance. Even after your symptoms are resolved, acupuncture can assist you in maintaining your health, and possibly prevent future complications. The more you incorporate acupuncture and TCM into your life, the more you’ll learn to nurture your body, mind and spirit.
How does Acupuncture work?
To treat any imbalances, fine, sterile needles will be inserted at specific acupuncture points along the meridian pathways. It is safe and painless; insertion of the needles unblocks obstructions and rebalances flow. We concentrate on acupuncture points related to specific organs, based on your unique issues and symptoms. The goal is that, when this is done, Qi can freely circulate throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles. This helps to eliminate pain, restore balance and harmony, as well as elevate the body's resilience and ability to heal itself—ultimately leading to optimal health and well-being.
