What to expect
First time clients seeking chiropractic care will see Dr. Quinn or Dr. Fennel for 1 full hour. This gives you ample time to discuss the particularities of your body. Dr. Quinn or Dr. Fennel will assess your standing and sitting postures, gait, and other natural positions. You will discuss any aches and pains, past or current injuries, daily habits and health cycles, and any other relevant information. (Don’t be afraid of sharing–sometimes we don't notice some information is relevant until we talk about it!)
Your doctor will then use applied kinesiology methods to pinpoint the inhibited muscles in your body and released the tension. You may experience some discomfort or pain that lasts past the end of your session, and this can happen for a few reasons:
a) some structural issues can take a few sessions to fully relax or may need recurring adjustments
b) this is your first time getting an adjustment and your body does not yet recognize the feeling
c) to release certain muscle groups, a significant amount of pressure is often required, which in some patients can lead to bruising
Follow-up appointments will be 30-minutes long, and will continue at an individualized frequency until the issue calms down.
Check-up appointments are 15-minutes long, and can be scheduled regularly and in advance. These are essential for maintaining the improvements earned in the previous appointments.
